Pakistan Cricket Players’ Salaries 2025: Central Contracts and Salary Categories

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rolled out new central contracts for the 2025 season. These contracts outline pay structures for players across different tiers. The categories include A, B, C, and D. Each comes with a specific monthly salary, along with performance bonuses and match fees. Domestic players also benefit from revised contracts.

Category A: Top Tier Players

This elite group features the most important players in the national side.

  • Babar Azam
  • Mohammad Rizwan

Players in this category earn PKR 4.5 million per month in base salary. With added performance bonuses and ICC revenue share, the total rises to around PKR 6.57 million monthly.

Category B: Senior Core

This tier includes consistent performers and key squad members.

  • Shaheen Shah Afridi
  • Naseem Shah
  • Shan Masood

These players earn a base of PKR 3 million monthly. With extra earnings, their total salary is approximately PKR 4.55 million per month.

Category C: Regular Contributors

This group consists of players who are part of the core squad and have shown promise in recent performances.

  • Abrar Ahmed
  • Haris Rauf
  • Noman Ali
  • Saim Ayub
  • Sajid Khan
  • Salman Ali Agha

The monthly base salary for this group is PKR 1 million. With bonuses, their total pay is about PKR 2.03 million per month.

Category D: Upcoming Talent

This tier is for players who are emerging on the national scene.

  • Mohammad Ali

These cricketers receive a base salary of PKR 750,000 monthly. With added revenue share, their total package goes up to PKR 1.26 million each month.

Match Fees and Extra Perks

Players are also paid for each international game they play. Here is the current match fee structure:

  • Test Match: PKR 1,257,795
  • ODI: PKR 644,620
  • T20I: PKR 418,584

Additionally, centrally contracted players who join domestic competitions receive half of their international match fee. They’re also allowed to play in two overseas leagues annually.

Domestic Contracts 2025

For the 2025 season, PCB has also revised the domestic cricket pay structure. 131 players have been given contracts across three levels:

  • Category A: PKR 550,000/month (40 players)
  • Category B: PKR 400,000/month (50 players)
  • Category C: PKR 250,000/month (60 players)

This move is aimed at boosting domestic cricket and supporting local talent financially.
